Laura Gringhuis is an inspired, committed and approachable lawyer. She is down-to-earth and easily puts herself in the shoes of others in order to find the best solution.
Education and career
Laura studied in Groningen, where she completed her Master’s in Dutch Law in 2016. During her studies she specialized in employment law, corporate law and criminal law, but after completing her studies she started to focus mainly on employment law. During her studies, Laura was active in the student association and gave legal advice at a legal clinic. During her studies, she also worked at a law firm in Groningen and thus got acquainted with the legal profession. After having worked in employment law at a law firm in Utrecht for over 4.5 years, she joined De Clercq in May 2022.
“Labour law is diverse, always evolving and very challenging both in practice and on a scientific level. Employment law therefore suits me very well. I get energy from moving people forward and advising clients on the best solution by keeping an overview. The diversity of employment law is also reflected in my practice; I deal with various aspects within this area of law. For example, I advise on individual and collective dismissal law and on disability (including social security law). I also advise works councils and provide training.”
