That is why we are a partner of Climbing the Right Tree, an organisation making an impressive contribution to the technological future of Africa. Additionally, Natascha van Duuren (Partner & Attorney at Law IT, Privacy & Cybersecurity) is a board member of Climbing the Right Tree.

Climbing the Right Tree is not just an organisation. It is a movement that changes lives. This Dutch-Ghanaian initiative, based on the African proverb ‘he who works on a good cause receives much support’, has built an ‘extended family’ of passionate professionals from different countries in just six years.

They have partner organisations in six African countries – Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, and South Africa – and since 2016, they have completed 80 school projects, training approximately 16,000 young IT professionals. Their work is nothing short of inspiring, and we are proud to join them.

Climbing the Right Tree shares our belief in the potential of technology to change lives. Their commitment to equality, their pursuit of quality education, and their passion for technology have deeply moved us.

They have made an impressive impact, not only by providing IT education but also by teaching 21st-century skills to prepare young people for the job market. Their work contributes to three of the United Nations’ seventeen Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education, Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Responsible Consumption and Production.

As a partner of Climbing the Right Tree, we see ourselves as supporters of their mission. We will actively involve our clients in this initiative, encouraging them to donate their old hardware. Additionally, we will share our expertise and help people in Africa improve their technological skills.
